    Fun in the Trees
Review for Summit Adventure Park: incredibly engaging and helpful staff across the board. Great activities and facilities. Booked a four hour session and could have stayed longer. Absolutely fun for all ages.

    Glamping and mountain biking weekend
We stayed at Blue Mountain resort's glamping site for 2 nights over Columbus day weekend. The glamping sites have tents with beds already set up on a deck complete with picnic table and fire ring. We had a great time! The bathroom and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. Kudos to everyone on staff!! Kamy is an excellent camp host, she is very helpful and kind. We also did mountain biking while on property. The staff members that set us up with bikes and gear were great! The rental bikes and gear were all in excellent working order and carefully maintained. Adam and Mark are fantastic instructors. We will certainly be back!

    Mud Tubing?
Kids wanted to do snow tubing and this place was only 1.25 hour drive from Reading. You get a 2-hour time slot which accommodated 4 runs through the tubing hills. The tubing was fun and the staff were very nice. The downside was the mud - they should call it Mud Tubing! The tubes were all muddy on the outside and most had mud on the inside, which meant your pants, shoes, jackets, and sweaters are all muddy by the time you finish your first run! That ruined it for me but the kids didn’t care. If you are coming here, I’d suggest snow pants and jackets and shoes you don’t care about. Other than that, it was fun and the drive from Reading was scenic.

    Great Beginner Ski Lesson
My first time at Blue Mountain and it is beautiful! Had a great group lesson with Brian who was friendly, fun, and PATIENT! I was put with a really good group who were all very supportive of one another as we learned new skills. Looking forward to returning!

Snowtubing was great (even on a holiday weekend)
Great experience with snowtubing. Was worried it would be crowded with the holiday weekend (MLK) but the ramp moved quickly and it wasn’t too crowded at the top. Nice feature about this place is that they have staff members at the top of the hill to start you down the hill, have not seen this anyplace before. And if you don’t feel like waiting for a lane with a staff member, you can just go in a lane by yourself and self-start. Price was affordable for a family of 5, appreciate that they didn’t jack up the prices on a holiday weekend like some of the other places did.

    Great skiing, bad cheesesteak
Good day skiing after some fresh snow. They are working hard to make snow and open more trails after a warm December. Had lunch at Slopeside pub - not good. Cheesesteak was pretty bad and being so close to Philly, either do it right or take it off the menu. Requirement to wear ski boots while dining is ridiculous - taking off your boots after a morning of skiing is part of the sport. Service was great and tap beer was refreshing.

    Oversold
We had a 4 hour pass for a Sunday and started out fine hitting the slopes at about 8:30 am. Skied for 2 1/2 hours and then hit long wait times to get back up the mountain (30 minutes) with a crazy amount of skiers present. Needless to say that was our last run. Way oversold on tickets as evidenced by the lines and the parking lots which were all filled to capacity. Won't come back on a weekend. It's too bad the mid-mountain lift is no longer there.

    Totally awesome
We really had a good time. It was crowded but the staff kept lines moving. They were very safety conscious, all working together to keep everyone safe & happy. We were tubing but the slopes look beautiful too. Nice crowd, good family vibe.

Blue Mt is a local ski area frequented by high school and college kids looking to see who can get down the mountain the quickest. It's dangerous! Ski at your own risk. The management has a total lack of regard for the customers. My wife and I recently visited and spend $170. We used our credit card to purchase a $7 locker. It did not work properly so we decided to put our bags in the car. We approached ticket counter who told us, "to bad" no refund on the locker. I asked to speak with the supervisor, she abruptly refused to refund the money. At this point it had nothing to do with the money, it was about the principle. I asked to speak to the general manager. NOW IT GETS WORSE. The ticket counter supervisor left and never returned. Yes, I stood there at the window for 45 minutes waiting for someone to address this issue. Their blatant ignorance not only effected me but as was occupying one of two opened windows the line waiting to purchase a ticket tripled. The funny thing here is they're not going to get the $7 anyway because I'm just going to dispute charge on my credit card. Avoid Blue Mountain!

Went skiing dec 17 I m a season pass holder and have been to blue countless times with my family What I witnessed today was a complete embarrassment for this resort. Absolute travesty. Horrible management decision to over sell tickets to make a quick buck since we got natural snow and people were off. For me it was not a big deal I can go anytime. But the people from Philly from Jersey who commuted 2 hours to go skiing. Blue Mountain Resort owes them a huge apology. There should be an apology posted on the website. There were 7 runs total. Essentially 2 lifts Our first wait In the lift line was 50 min !!!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!
Blue Mountain Resort you should be ashamed of yourself to let this happen You wanted to turn a quick buck at the expense of your customers. Shame on you
You over sold tickets period We were there for 2.5 hrs and for 2 Runs in and we left You should offer the people who went today discounted tickets. People are going to start skiing at Shawnee camelback and Jack Frost if you keep this up

Ok this is my honest opinion. I went glamping for the first time to celebrate my birthday and was disappointed. First, i had to wait over an hour to do the check in because of their lack of staff , which i was furious, i hate waiting and i had a schedule planned which was ruined. They had only one boogie , which is absurd for all the sites they have And the boogies are shared with other activities going on such as tge summer camp . I mean , i was there on time for checking in and the fact that i had to wait that long is Not a resort kind of treatment. Second, the food of the restaurant was horrible, but it could’ve been just what we ordered. Third, we stayed two nights , obviously the shower water and tiki liquid is not enough for two nights, they should’ve offered to replenish it at the end of each day but they didn’t, I had to ask for it . Fourth, the mattress was not a real mattress as advertised, it was the cheapest air mattress because we had bought the same one for camping at Walmart. Fifth, there is no small fireplace inside the tent as shown in the pictures online (the pictures online show a small black indoor fireplace/ stove in the corner by the entrance) . Fifth, they should’ve had electricity hooks like most campgrounds . Sixth, they were super late to pick us up for the check out and it was important for us to leave on time. Overall, not glamorous at all, definitely didn’t see the “glam” in the camping as advertised although the staff was friendly. I just feel they needed more staff, better attention and definitely more boogies to service all the sites . Not a resort treatment.

I mean is great for camping , but when im paying 150-160 a night for GLAMping , i was expecting a Different kind of treatment/ service.

Glamping online reservation process is disappointingly awful, for a number of reasons: 1) you can't check general availability of sites by date...you must click thru & back & thru again to each site, in order to verify availability. 2) the availability calendar is intermittent, in that it rarely shows any dates within a week...as in there must not be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc day this month? 3) if you try and reserve one within 24 hours, they bump the price from an already advertised "peak" price of $189 to $219. 4) If you try calling the lodge itself (even if you guess the appropriate extension prompt) you will be repeatedly put on hold, only to be told over & over that there is nothing they can do. I'm glad for them that business is so good, that another $189 to glamp + $96 to use the Adventure Park + probably $100 for dinner at the lodge isn't needed. We loved the idea of trying this, in hopes of doing it again with friends. Too bad.

We ve been season pass holders for the last 4 years. At the end of the season they have a sale for the passes at a great rate They have the best snow making capacity in the poconos hands down There are times when it gets crowded but I have never waiting more than 12 or 15 min to get on a lift. A lot of complainers out there. This is a local gem. Varied terrain Slopes are rarely overcrowded
Yeah if you show up there at noon on a Saturday there are going to be people there (let’s be real ). Overall the slopes almost always have good cover on them
The ski shop is great very knowledgeable staff and VERY friendly They have a great ski demo program too
Ski instruction there is top notch
Looking forward to buying another season pass at the end of the season

We booked a snow tubing trip because our kids needed some type of activity with all of the lockdowns. We went to the mountain lodge, and were surprised at how few cars there were, because we were in the wrong place. We scanned our barcode and got our tickets but after 30 minutes we could not find a worker so we finally went to the store. We were advised there that snow tubing is at the bottom of the mountain. After making our way to the bottom of the mountain and we found where EVERYONE parked. As for the ride, you grab a tube, wait in a long line, go down and do it again. You'll get up and down 2 or 3 times an hour, that's how long the lines are the run last 30 seconds tops. If your kids are impatient I do not recommend you go. If you do go, there were two open hills. There's no one to tell you this but the hill closest to the parking lot is alot faster and more fun than the other hill, not the wait but the actual tubing. By faster I mean that you make it all of the way down not stop 3/4 of the way down. My kids said it was o.k. I thought it was adequate but we will try other places for our teenagers for $200.

My friends and I had a nice time, but I wouldn't really call what they are offering "glamping," it's more like slightly nicer camping...definitely not worth what they are charging. Make sure you get everything in writing too, because things kept changing, including the cancellation policy and what was included. (Seems like their glamping video is outdated.) The view and the campsite was very nice. So overall, though I had a nice time, I wouldn't recommend paying what they are charging for what they are offering.

Just like other reviewers have stated, they overbook the place. I drove 2 hours each way with my family as this was advertised as the biggest place to Snowtubing. There was a very long line just to get to the conveyor belt which takes you up the hill. Then after getting to the top of the hill, we found a ton of people standing in a bunch of lines. They were all 10 plus people in each line.

All lines would go at the same time after the bottom of the hill was cleared. Only problem is that there were not enough employees to pull all the snow tubers at the same time. I saw one employee having to pull 3 different snow tubers, one at a time.

It seems to take about 3 minutes between each snow tuber. With a line of 10 snow tubers, that means it is 30 minutes waiting on top of the hill each time. That is after waiting 10 minutes at the bottom of the hill to get to the conveyor. This means it takes 40 minutes just to ride the hill once. Hence, even though we paid for 2 hours for 4 people $224 and drove 2 hours to get here, we only had time to do the hill 3 total times.

This was a huge disappointment. They let way too many people on the hill and don't have enough staff to move everyone as quickly as possible.

They had a 3rd hill available, but chose not to use it and only had 2 of the 3 hills operating, further adding to the very poor value for our time.

Their website kept me on hold for 3 hours. I tried to buy tickets and after at least 90 minutes was able to place tickets in the "check out" but the site wouldn't allow the processing of the payment. So I waited in the on line chat queue for an hour and the person handling the chat room was unable and unwilling to do anything. Her advice was to go to a different mountain! I devoted 3 hours to trying to buy lift tickets and that was the response. I will ski somewhere else....they have since removed the "buy" option and you have to wait in the queue if you want to buy tickets. Don't waste your time. I also sent two emails requesting help and got no response. PATHETIC.

I am a fan of the mountain and I recognize that (a) ski resorts are very weather-dependent, and (b) Covid has had a major impact on businesses.
With that said... I skied Blue Mtn on Monday and had a good time.
But it could have been much better. The lift ticket prices are high and I would have thought that the management would have done everything they could to keep as many trails open as possible - it's not my fault that they can only accommodate 50% of the guests over previous years, and I want to get my bang for the buck.

I was very disappointed that 4 or 5 Black Diamond runs were closed ALL DAY for snowmaking. I get that they had to blow some snow on these runs, but ALL DAY?

I skied 2 other Poconos resorts this weekend and had a much better experience at the others.

Blue is still the tops in the Poconos as far as I am concerned, but I was very disappointed that I paid full price and was denied access to parts of the mountain that could have been open, at least part of the day.

I was at Camelback yesterday - they were making snow but managed to get the entire mountain open for at least part of the day, and we enjoyed it much more.
