We decided to stop here while touring some caves in the area and were not disappointed. It was great seeming some amazing birds of prey and for free none-the-less. You can get right up next to the large habitats and there was quite a selection of birds including, a golden eagle, bald eagles, owls, and more. There is also some... More

While looking for things to do in the area, I came across this place. I looked it up and figured it had to have an admission to get into. I gave them a call and asked how much to get in. To my surprise, there was no charge to get in meaning that it was free to view the entire... More

Get an up-close chance to see a variety of raptors ( who were injured and are being cared for there) and listen to a presentation to learn more about these amazing birds.

It certainly isn't big, but it is neat for adults and kids will love it. We took our 2-1/2 year-old granddaughter to see the Owls and she liked it a lot. Talked about the owls all night long. They have several type of owls, Hawks, Turkey Vultures, a Golden Eagle and a pair of Bald Eagles in captivity. They do... More

Showed up here after many, many years due to team meeting. The lake is as peaceful and quiet as I remember. The Lake Trail - about 2.5 miles follows the perimeter and is a beautiful and fairly easy hike. It was for me a walk down memory lane remembering how the kids loved this place. There have been many upgrades... More

We always love Shaver's Creek's booths at 4th Fest, so we decided to visit their actual site, and we were not disappointed! Interactive displays for the kids, live animals, walking trails, the marsh, the lake...absolutely relaxing & engaging. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and upbeat!

Pull the kids away from the digital world to see something REAL. This place is mall but allows you a face-to-face experience with the birds-of-prey. The inside exhibit is wonderful too, even for country kids who experience the woodland whenever they want.

Stopped by after spending most of the day at the Tussey Mountain Hawk Watch. It was great to see up close, some of the Raptors that we had spent the day viewing through binoculars and spotting scopes. Listened to one of the guides explain how they move the Raptors inside when the weather gets too severe. They obviously treat the... More

We have visited here many times and most recently again for their Autumn festival. Our kids have always enjoyed coming here for years to see the birds. The people here are very informative and friendly. It really isn't a place to make a day of but if you are in the area it is a nice stop. There isn't a... More

My husband and I still talk about our visit and hope to get back there. The exhibits and animals are some of my favorites.
