Seating is mercifully arranged on the downhill car! Otherwise it’d scare the do-doo out of you!

I went up the Duquesne Incline, walked the few miles on the top of the mountain to the Monongahela Incline to go down. It’s steep as hail! And a slow crawl down the mountain. It thankfully seems to be a lot shorter than the Duquesne!

Everyone is different but I thought this was a great place to visit. Located behind Station Square you walk in and pay $3.50 for a round trip ticket. in the kiosk machine. Correct change is better but not required. IF you are 65 and have...More

Monongahela Incline is the better choice unless you want to take a walk uphill from Duquesne to the beautiful lookout platform over the city. This incline takes you right to the platforms. Very pretty at night!

This was a very nice ride to the top with fantastic views. We used the kiosk and it was rather inexpensive round trip.

As usual, the Trip Advisor reviews are pretty exaggerated. This is a decent thing to try out if you don't have much to do in addition to something else touristy. It's cheap and good for kids or for larger families with older people. The view...More

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".
