The Monongahela Incline is a great way to see some great views from Mt Washington. It only costs $3.50 round trip- there was an automated machine to purchase tickets that even took credit cards. (We brought exact change as we had read the previous reviews)....More

We took the incline up to Mount Washington after our dinner cruise on the Gateway Clipper. It's just a short walk away, so we could leave our car in the parking lot. OH MY WORD! There is virtually NO ventilation in the cars. And this...More

Very nice way to access the top of the mountain for some scenic views of the city. Incline also has some history to it.

This is an inexpensive way to get really great views. $3.50 round-trip. There are a few look out spots at the top to see Pittsburgh and take the requisite photos. There is also an interesting neighborhood at the top (Fort Washington) with a few small...More

This is a great sightseeing thing to do. It's also like a trip back in time. However it was a 95° day and there is no circulation in the car as it travels up mountain .... we were all Melting !

Very inexpensive for a 'tourist' attraction. Fun ride with a great view up to the beautiful Mt Washington area.

Everything went very well. I had exact change so no problems there. The car was like a sauna but the ride was short and the view was beautiful.

Passing through and needed a break from driving. We loved the view but some simple signage as to what is near by would be nice. The shopping/eating areas were cool.

Enjoyed the ride but no air conditioning so stuffy and sweaty during peak sun hours...still views are great and we met very friendly people on the way up. Seats 8 per section and three sections to each car. Lower section best views going up top...More

This is not a Rollercoaster but a great piece of history. Worth the short stop and the views are amazing. It won't take long at all and highly recommend supporting it. The staff was very friendly and their hours are great. Basically open early and...More

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".

Not sure about that. We bought tickets at the office. If you did not know, there is a time limit on how long those tickets are good for. Only good for that day a so many hours for that day. The view from the top is great... More
