Pittsburgh once had several inclines to take riders to the top of Mount Washington. Now there are just two and they are gems. The Monongahela and Duquesne Inclines with delight travelers. Reach the top and soak up the gorgeous views of downtown Pittsburgh. On the...More

After many many many visits to Pittsburgh, we rode the Incline after a stop at Mt. Washington. What to say, other than yes, it is a must do, but honestly, unless you're in the front of the car, you are really not going to see...More

Rode to the top of the Monogahela Incline. Had a great meal at one of the restaurants at the top. Stopped to take in the view of the triangle, Heinz Field, and the many bridges over the Monogahela River. Inexpensive trip with a great view.

Our first time in Pittsburgh so we had to experience the incline. It was a short trip to the top and it provided us with a great view of the city. It costs less than $3 per person for a round trip on the incline....More

This is my favorite of the two Pittsburgh inclines because of the surrounding neighborhood at the top. The ride offers a great view of Downtown Pittsburgh, Once at the top you will exit into the heart of Mount Washington with small shops, restaurants, and local...More

I've been riding the incline for almost 60 years and still think it's fin and a fine way to get to the top of Mount Washington for the great views and good eats at a nearby restaurant.

Very easy way to get from station square area up to Shiloh street. Cool ride and good views. Good food and ice cream on Shiloh street. Buy round trip fare and you can walk about a mile and take Duquesne incline back down.

Where else can you ride a vernicular train?? Not only is it a great way to see the city and experience amazing views - it's affordable and clean.

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".
