This tram, opened in 1870, still carries passengers up and down Mount Washington.

This was a really cool way to get to see the sites in Pittsburgh. The Monongahela Incline is a step back in history. I live just a mile or two from where one of the Cincinnati inclines used to be, but sadly they are completely...More

Nice ride to the top to Mt. Washington area and beautiful view of the city especially at night. Big benefit is that senior ride for free. After we reached the top we went to The Summit, a nice neighborhood cocktail bar.

This is a must see for anyone visiting Pittsburgh! Free for anyone 65 and up. $3.50 roundtrip and the view from on top is great! Kids love the ride.

Wonderfully located across from Station Square (many shops and dining options). The incline will take you to Mount Washington for some breathtaking views of the city and additional dining options. Best of all... seniors can ride the incline for free.

We enjoyed the ride and seeing the historic aspect of the incline. I would say it's a must do, because there are few places you can do this at all. We went during the day and found the views are great, but there's really not...More

An exciting ride to a wonderful view of the three rivers junction. The view of Pittsburgh is exciting and while you are at the top visit the Seafood Grotto or an even higher look at the view and a wonderful meal

Love the Incline. Took it once at night and once during the day for a beautiful overview of Pittsburgh, Point State Park, and the stadiums. Nice ride up and down. Recommend it as a quick, inexpensive, and pleasant activity.

We waited quite a while to do this, but it was worth it. I didn't believe it would be as good a view as it was. I wish I would have had time to hang around on Mount Washington before going back down.

$3.50 round trip. Seniors and children under age 6 are free. Easiest way to get to Mount Washington to view the city. Not sure about parking because we walked to the incline from Market Square.

If you are planning on using the subways or busses, you can buy a day pass at the machine, also. It was $7 last time I went and you can ride the inclines and busses and subways all you want that day. You will love the... More
