Filled with many shops, boutiques, cafes and bars, this neighborhood is home to many Carnegie Mellon college students during the school year.

This is an upscale community, with so much to offer, especially in the way of great little restaurants. Shopping is good, and the flavor of the area is nice.

Numerous stylish shopping options and it remains (since the 1950's) a vibrant location for nightlife. Offers a range of dining and live music options.

Fun to walk around, pop in the shops. There are one of a kind, International chains, even an Apple Store. Stop at Pamela's and also at the bakery.

We lived in Shadyside over 27 years ago and recently came back to visit. Although there are now some chain stores, there are still many independent shops featuring clothing, toys, books,etc...and still a few nice restaurants and the terrific Prantl's bakery!

It is worth the visit. A piece of Pittsburgh but so much more commercial than say 20 years ago. Parking can be a challenge as well. There are some decent restaurants but nothing spectacular in my mind. Spend an hour and decide for yourself.

A lot of neat shops and restaurants in town, as well as Shadyside Hospital. Walnut Street is the main place to visit. traffic can be heavy at certain times, and finding a parking place can be challenging, but worth the visit.

Great shops and restaurants in this part of town! Stop for a coffee or go to a book or toy store (yes they still exist), a real throwback part of the city!
