It is worth the visit. A piece of Pittsburgh but so much more commercial than say 20 years ago. Parking can be a challenge as well. There are some decent restaurants but nothing spectacular in my mind. Spend an hour and decide for yourself.

Since we couldn't find a place in Pittsburgh to stroll around and do some shopping in stores and boutiques , we took a cab to Shadyside . It has lots of small shops to browse in , as well as nice restaurants.

Shadyside is an upscale, trendy area of Pittsburgh with a variety of shops, boutiques, restaurants, coffee houses, bars, lounges and much more. It is an area of beautiful Victorian homes. Shadyside is another one of Pittsburgh's many diverse neighborhoods

If you like almonds (Most Nutritious), you must try their almond cake. The texture if fairly light and moist and the icing is just sweet enough. They are almost always busy, which is the best recommendation.
