Loved every time I've been to this zoo. I feel the animals are very well cared for, they are presented very well to the public. Great variety of species to see. Nice walk throughout the whole zoo. Prices are very reasonable.

This zoo had more of an open concept for very the animals. You didn’t see them in cages. The environment was appropriate for the animals. I especially loved their aquarium and the water animals and fish. Really nice and priced descent for a family. There...More

The Zoo is always a great experience in Pittsburgh, I suggest getting their early to avoid the afternoon crowds. The grandchildren really love the animals.

I always have a great time at the zoo and can't wait to go back! There is so much to see, learn & experience. There is also always new stuff being added. Kids always have a lot of fun and get so excited to go.

This is a great place to visit with the family. The zoo is larger than it looks and, if walked slowly, it will take you at least 3 hours to go through. They have a nice variety of animals and the aquarium was nice to...More

We went on the first coolish day in many weeks and the animals all seemed very happy about it and interested in us. The lion roared in greeting. Many of the critters seemed to watching the visitors as much as the visitors were watching them....More

We haven’t visited a ton of zoos in our lifetime, but for the ones I have experience with, this one is very good. Adult admission was $16 each and our two younger children got in free over a Labor Day weekend (which was a deciding...More

I am not sure about the trams. There is an elevator to take you from the parking lot to the zoo entrance that can accommodate a wheel chair.
