I have seen some unique learning facilities but this one will always remain embedded in my memory. It's nothing like I've seen before. Try to get as high as possible for an awesome view. It's pretty exciting. Remember that there will be eduroam, cafeterias, and...More

The Cathedral of Learning is a unique feature of the University of Pittsburgh campus. It was meant to make the campus stand out and it does. The interior reminds you of a castle with many nationality rooms decorated to reflect the countries represented. Each has...More

Towering above the surrounding area, we had to visit the Cathedral of learning. Although we didn't go to an upper floor, we made a quick visit in the main hall which was truly impressive. You don't need to spend a lot of time to enjoy...More

They have a classroom for each country. Make sure you get an audio tour and key from the gift shop so you can open the doors. It was a pleasant experience.

For such a building, gloriously towering over the rest of the University of Pittsburgh's sprawling campus, to be such a disappointment was disheartening. Surrendering a driving licence as a form of photo ID got us a key that would open a series of doors on...More

The Cathedral of Learning is easily the most beautiful classroom building on any college campus. Each room is designed in the theme of a different country .

Even if the nationality rooms aren't open, it is worth the time to walk the common areas in the building. The stone work and high ceilings are beautiful, have sketched here in my youth. Unknown if they still allow visitors to the top, time constraints...More

Visited as part of the college tour. Found it amazing that the building has offices, somehow pictures didn’t convey that aspect. It’s an old but stunning architecture with certain symmetry that is pleasing. Attention to detail with minimal Gothic design makes it stand tall in...More

This is a beautiful old building throughout with 16 international rooms decorated in the 30's and 40's by architects from those countries to reflect their home country. During the Holidays they may actually have themed displays reflecting the holidays in those countries. We visited during...More

The Cathedral is only open until 4 PM because it is used for classrooms. Never dinners. Weekends the vending machines are available but the food court is not open for hot meals.

Most of the ones we saw looked accessible. There are elevators that provide access to all the floors.
