A wonderful surprise. This Gothic Study Center is a masterpiece. We toured several of the "country" rooms which were decorated for the Christmas holidays in their particular tradition.

Just visited about a dozen of the individual nationality rooms. It’s like a whirlwind world tour! Each has its own flavor and personality. Or rooms coming soon. TIP: About 15 rooms available on first floor and 15 more on third floor; allow at least an...More

Our guided tour of the Nationality Rooms was fabulous. Learned why the university asked countries with immigrant populations living and working in Pittsburgh in the 1930’s and 40’s to showcase their art and cultures. An enlightened and inspiring window to the many who made and...More

I'm always amazed that there aren't more people up on the 36th floor of this magnificent building for the best free views!

Was described to us quite accurately as the Hogwarts of Pitt! An impressive cathedral inside and out. Viewable from blocks around. You can not get lost on campus because you can always just look to the Cathredal to find your bearings!

Visiting the Cathedral of Learning is like taking a trip around the world without leaving Pittsburgh. The national rooms are inspiring and really give you a flavor of the countries they represent.

I was amazed this is part of Pitt University. The rooms of learning were beautiful and educational. Take the time to wander around and go up to I believe the 36th floor for the view. Great gothic architecture

We stopped here to take a look just because of the phenomenal outside of this building. And we were so glad we did. Every room was unique to it's subject. The feel of true class and uniqueness was felt throughout the halls. It was a...More

Pitt (U. of Pittsburgh) students call her Cathy. Students hang-out inside and outside (depending on weather). It's one of the tallest buildings on a university campus in the U.S. (if not the tallest). Apart from the majestic views on the outside, the lobby is just...More

The Cathedral is only open until 4 PM because it is used for classrooms. Never dinners. Weekends the vending machines are available but the food court is not open for hot meals.
