Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was my favorite show as a child. Happy to discover this memorial to him. It is located near Heinz Field at the river in the lovely Roberto Clemente Memorial Park. Take the time to walk along the river and you will find several other monuments honoring Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers. The Mr. Rogers statue itself is... More

Mr. Rogers was an outstanding person and citizen of Pittsburgh. A well known advocate of children everywhere. His statue is situated on the walk along the north shore of the city, offering a great view of the skyline from the opposite side of the Allegheny river. The river walk also has a beautiful multi-level fountain that is chlorinated and great... More

Great to see a familiar face along the river. Mister Roger's was the best friend to our kids growing up and a true Pittsburger. Glad he is remembered in such a great way.

I have loved Mr. Rogers for years and was very happy to see the statue that honors him. This kind man has always made everyone feel welcome. We found the statue on a nice walk along the North Shore and discovered that there were also many other great sites to see.

I always enjoyed watching the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood show with my children when they were small. It was broadcast from Pittsburgh so on my recent visit there, I was pleased to see they had honored him with a statue. It is a nicely done memorial, complete with audio from his popular children's program. He helped me teach the values of... More

can't find a listing for the North Shore in general. Overall, this area has really improved since I grew up there 20+ years ago. Nice open space along the river, going all the way up past the three sisters bridges. Wasn't very impressed with the statue itself; looks like it was carved out of a block of chocolate; crudely. Love... More

Loved the soundtrack at the statue with Mr. Rogers singing and talking to us. I walked here before dawn and watched the sun rise over the city. What a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

What a wonderful tribute to someone who taught generations how to be kind and gentile human beings. I don't think the sculpture was deliberately made to resemble Mr Rogers but instead as a tribute to him. Either way, it's awesome!

The statue itself is sorta weird, not really my taste. It's not much of a likeness, so if you didn't know who it's supposed to be you might walk on by. The best part is the Mr. Rogers songs that play in a loop; there are several, including the "Won't You Be My Neighbor" song. Of course there's also the... More
