Pagoda in Reading is a wonderful site to see up close! Don't go there alone though. It is now a place where many people go that are looking for risky sex in the wood nearby. Its a shame the city can't make better use of some...More

Wow what a great view of the area from the Pagoda. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm in June 2017. Unfortunately my enjoyment was ruined by the people just "hanging out" there. My "sense that something isn't safe" here kicked in. It seemed...More

This is worth the drive up the mountain. Beautiful view and great history displayed in the pagoda itself. You can also drive down the road to the fire tower. If it's open, you can climb the stairs and look out of the top. As you...More

I didn’t go into the gift shop but I’ve been twice, once during the day and once at night. Beautiful view. At night it’s lit up and pretty cool to look at.

As a child visiting Reading outlets, I always wondered about the pagoda we could see on the top of the mountain. Finally got a group of friends to go and it was fun. Climbed the 87 steps to the top and enjoyed the view. Neat...More

We be at Penn Mountain visiting the great Reading, PA Pagoda Hotel. Through the hotel is non-operational the building itself is a magnificent example of the majestic architectural symmetry of that place we call The Far East...... Also the stark winter view is quite lovely......EC

My husband and I drove up to the Pagoda knowing it would not be open that day. But the weather was so lovely we decided to go for the view. We were really happy with the experience. Also the Pagoda itself is a lovely site.

It's really off the beaten path and requires driving in deep woods. Even with signs it can be hard to find. However once there the views are great even from the bottom. Benches are out in a little pathway under the Pagoda. Inside the Pagoda...More

Unusual attraction. Old building on top of the mountains. Nice view of the city. A little run down but worth the drive.

I love driving up the hill to get to this uniquely placed structure! Like something out of Japan, the Pagoda in Reading seems out of place but had become iconic to the area! Very neat place for the whole family to see and snap some...More

The Pagoda is actually located east of the city and it is fairly isolated. You can get there without going through the downtown parts of Reading

Not much at all, pretty straight road for the most part, although it starts a little windy. It's a really nice place, makes for good pictures. Enjoy!
