Great guided hikes and lots of trails. A peaceful area and dogs are also welcome, but please be sure to clean up after your furry friend. Love walking here:)

The staff presents educational lectures relating to the forest. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. There is a lot to learn for people of all ages. Bring the family for a great experience.

The trails are well maintained and fairly well marked. The park ranger is willing to give additional information about the difficulty level of the trails. There are many easy ones, yet there are challenging ones, too. Lots of gentle up & down to get a good work-out. Interesting mansion.

Went hiking for first time at Nolde having been there for educational outtings with school kids. Hiking trails very well maintained and vary from flat to steep and rough to almost paved. Our family loves this place. Not too far of a drive. Various trails to take, but mostly loops. Dogs are welcome on leashes. The trails are maintained very well and there is is even a fun little trail along a stream. There is a building with some interesting history that can also be toured during certain hours.

A logging/ sawmill area in the early 1900s,nolde is now a rather over used hiking area for many Berks countians.Still, the trails can be interesting, with enough hills to provide a good cardio workout. If you go on a weekend, better go very early if you want a parking space.
