While in Lancaster, we dropped by to please my RR loving husband. The museum did not disappoint. So much info, friendly volunteers and something for all ages. We wish to return and ride the train!

I definitely didn't allow enough time to fully enjoy all there is to see in the country's largest indoor train museum. I could have easily spent most of the day there, however not everyone in our group would want to do that. One amazing thing I learned from a volunteer guide was how much of the funding is private in... More

My boyfriend and I enjoyed walking around and checking out the trains. It was especially neat when they opened a few cars to walk around in. My highlight was sorting the mail like someone would have on the train. The children's area is worth a look, even as an adult. There are trains in various states of disrepair to review... More

The Family Membership is completely worth it. This was my go-to spot for rainy days and out of town visitors. Great room to entertain toddlers and elementary ages.

They have an extensive (100,000 square feet) collection of REAL trains. You can even walk through some of the trains with a representative that will tell you about the particular train car.
