Spent the day on the water at the dam and almost did the whole length of Allegheny Resevoir. Our first visit and definitely not our last.

This place is a beauty. If you have kids, make sure you take some bread to feed the carp. The best view of the dam is down by the fish hatchery.

We were unprepared but lucky. There were 2 families there with bread and kids. If you go, don't forget the bread and kids are also recommended. At least a hundred really huge carp are lurking in the water below the visitors center colliding in their...More

Bring some bread to feed the huge fish at the dam. Combine this with swimming at the Kinzua beach about 2 miles away and you have a great day.

A beautiful place and wonderful for night time star gazing. You could almost touch the stars. Being a citified girl this was an entirely new experience. A little scary at night so go with friends!! Don't miss it!

Very large dam. No leaks!! Thankfully. Impressive structure. Lots of carp by dam. Beautiful picturesque area. Visitor area was closed both days we were there. You are able to fish in reservoir. Certainly if you are in the area it's something to stop and see.

There are no natural rocky waterfalls right at the dam. There is a dam overflow that looks somewhat like a waterfall.

What Gerald said. From Warren, PA take hemlock road to the tailwaters of the dam past the fish hatchery. There are two handicapped parking areas down there. Be mindful that this area is closed when the discharge exceed 6,000... More
