“Monet would have loved this” those are not my words, those are the words I overheard another visitor use to describe this. While the grounds are not as manicured as those at Longwood Gardens, they are more natural. The grounds are beautifully kept. There are...More

Very well kept, great walking paths. We visited mid-april and waa concerned it would be worth the $10 entrance fee. Well worth it! We chose to wander on our own, but doing a scheduled tour of the house was another option.

Not one inch is ignored. Every month of the year a new, wonderful aspect reveals itself. Like Longwood Gardens, there is plenty of endowment money to support it. Brilliant and so well executed!

What a lovely surprise we found in this location. The paths are long enough to get good exercise for a five year old, the surroundings are beautiful, and there are all kinds of neat features along the way. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a garden worth traveling out of your way for. It is lovely in three season, uses natural materials for accessories (fencing, trellises), has charming ruins, paths that go in many directions, beautifully laid out gardens, and tranquility.

No. But I'd wear comfortable walking shoes. There is a paved path, it is a good 1-2 mile walk around property.
