I always love going to Chanticleer. There is always something in bloom and there is a lot to see with the houses and sculptures and the fish pond. They must have received a grant recently because it is even better kept this year than it has been in past years.

I went to Chanticleer after a photo workshop in Longwood Gardens. Chanticleer is very different. It is more natural, peaceful and not crowded. The flowers are arranged naturally. That is, the tulips are not all in one place. You can find clusters of tulips intermingled with bluebells, creeping flox and other flowers. We were not bumping elbows with others. In... More

Beautiful, our 2nd visit and again I am really impressed. These horticulturalists always make such a beautiful combination of plants that appear contemporary and fresh. So unexpected and bold and yet beautiful. I plan to come back later in the season.

This is a real sleeper, even for those who live nearby and never visited it.It is sort of a "min-Longwood Gardens" with a large number of landscaped gardens, pools, glades, tree collections, fields and buildings. It is not huge, but very detailed and created mini-environments within a large estate. The collection of trees, plants, herbs, flowers is amazing for its size.A real delight you can return to again and again.Don't miss... Easter is just a few days away and I decided to see whether Chanticleer is ready to welcome visitors that have been eager to put winter and the recent rainy days behind them. I am happy to report that Chanticleer is ready for spring. Many cherry trees are in full bloom and the magnolia near the greenhouse that tried so... More

Go out of your way to visit this garden. It's a very special place which will leave you enchanted and renewed. Chanticleer is a mix of traditional and innovative and beautifully maintained. No expense was spared in the creation of this phenomenal experience. You will see many plants you recognize, but I guarantee that that no matter how experienced a... More

Chanticleer warrants a season membership. The landscape continually changes and there is always something new to see. Love the unusual 'vistas' created along the mile or so path. Many hidden treasures. You can even picnic there!
