An exquisite gem. The tour of the house and it's history was wonderful, and the gardens are beautiful. Even on a cloudy day I was taken in by the sheer beauty of the place.

Highlights: The Lotus Pond and the Garden by the pool The ability to stroll on dirt rather than cement Would be Helpful: A lot more signs on the plants/trees/flowers...so I know what I am looking at. They were few and far behind.

A wonderful place to pause, ponder, photograph and peruse picturesque places. A great getaway that is not far away. Truly worth visiting in various seasons.

One of the most breathtaking gardens I have ever visited, either in the US or abroad. Rare plants combined with creative genius make this a must see.

No. But I'd wear comfortable walking shoes. There is a paved path, it is a good 1-2 mile walk around property.
