We always try to find a park with lovely scenery and pleasant walking trails when visiting an area. Frances Slocum State Park is a nice 20-minute drive from our hotel. We did not see the campground, although it came recommended. The park has spacious grounds,...More

Watch you kids when they're swimming....Wednesday afternoon, 7-13-16 I watched a guy pull a young girl from out of the Frances Slocum pool and he resuscitated her. Pay very close attention to your kids, it is a big pool.

In this area, bears are a reality. As a hiker, you must always be aware of your surroundings and movement at a distance. Never try to get a better look or go near a cub.

I have never stayed there. I'd call the park. I live two miles away from it.

Unfortunately I cannot answer that. I am local to the park and I don't camp there.
