Hope Street in Bristol, R.I. particularly "Loafer's Corner" is where the locals hang out and discuss antique cars, recent local news, people watch, etc. Loafer's Corner is on the intersection of Hope and State Street. When in town look for the locals sitting on the...More

We spent the day in Bristol, RI and enjoyed it very much. It's a great place to walk around and there are several stores to browse.....and buy too, if you so desire. My favorite place is always sitting by the water. We always stop in...More

Great shady sidewalks and lots of small shop and places to catch a bite to eat. Good mix of locals and tourists. Lots of historical buildings to view...churches, schools, and Bristol Historical Society nearby.

Stroll this historic Downtown street listening to the carillon from the nearby historic Congregational Church, which was founded months before the town in 1680 by the same four people. There is a variety of shops and restaurants as well as museums showcasing the fascinating history...More

Yes, off of Thames Street, but it is paid parking. Most other spots you have to have a tag for parking on certain streets, but we have many public parking spots available. On our 4th of July no parking on the parade route.
