Blithewold brings the turn of the 19th to the 20th century to life, but in our opinion what truly makes it stand out are the grounds. Since the nearby Newport mansions get all the press, go to Blithewold for the trees. Take photos as you...More

Such a wonderful place to visit. The mansion's first two floors are open to the public. They're filled with furnishings and period decor, all interesting and worthy of leisurely enjoying. The grounds are even more stunning. Amazing collection of old, rare trees and beautifully laid-out...More

Nice audio tour of the mansion, free form wandering around garden, lawn, dock. Beautifully maintained buildings and grounds. Appreciate the labels on the trees and plants. Gift items were very nice, too!

A gem in Rhode Island, a wonderful way to step back and time to see how the rich once lived. The gardens are massive and very well maintained. Makes for a great wedding venue!
