We visited this old windmill after our visit to the Glass studio next door. The glass artist could be a guide as he gave us some history. Lovely to photograph and in the background was the lovely Newport Pell Bridge. Would love to return in...More

Delightful little historical stop and worth a look at this 230-year old structure from the state's early days. Hard to believe this windmill's been around since shortly after the War of Independence - and it looks great for its age! The windmill's got 3 levels...More

It is only open on weekends. Nice and well kept. Parking only on the side of the road. A short drive from Jamestown. Nice views though.

It is interesting only during Windmill Week in July when guided tours are given, otherwise it is open only on week ends as a self guided tour.

Anyone wishing to see how it was done centuries ago don't miss this example of a working windmill which uses sails to power the mechanism we'll keep by a group of volunteers

It was closed when we got there, but we were able to take some pictures - would go there again for a closer look.

The Jamestown Windmill is a little known tourist attraction with lots of history behind it. We "discovered" it and stopped this year, we had always seen it there, but it's only open on Sunday ~ staffed by volunteers ~ so we made it a point...More
