Visited with some friends from work. Must have been the time of year but parking was a nightmare. The beach was completely packed as far as you could see in both directions. There is an actual beach parking lot to pay and park but it is small and full. Some of the local businesses will let you pay to park;... More

Family of 3 traveled to Mystic Aquarium from NY. Once there, we decided to head to the beach. This is by far our favorite beach to attend now! We love it. Next time we will try to stay closer to the beach and not in Mystic. Great for families and couples. FYI: There is a $20 parking fee at the... More

Great beach - lots of good sand and plenty of room for everyone to place a blanket. The only downfall is the price to park. You can buy food if you want and there are lots of places to shop and eat nearby walking distance.

Kids and families love Misquamicut Beach during the summer months. We absolutely love visiting Misquamicut in late fall and early spring. You can walk the beach for miles or just plant your chair and read your book at a peaceful beach.

Plenty of parking and even outhouses if you need after an off season beach walk. Fishermen and a surfer to be seen.

Love this beach. Beautiful location and relaxing. Just wish people didn't throw cigarettes everywhere.

I live in CT where Long Island Sound buffers our shores so our beaches are very calm. Misquamicut had actual waves, a view of Block Island (close to the B.I. ferry), a playground, magnetic sand (my kid brought a magnetic toy), beautiful beach. I went off-season where no parking fee, no lifeguards = more relaxed beach goers. There were a... More

With the recent October heat wave, Misqaumicut State Beach is a tranquil retreat. The water is surprisingly warm. Great place to walk. Amazing sunset viewing location.
