Even though we couldn't walk around the actual lighthouse the drive to this area and the surrounding park and cliffs are simply beautiful. We didn't plan to spend long here - just snapped some pictures and enjoyed the views for a while, but it would be a lovely picnic spot if the weather was warm enough.

I love lighthouses, and 30 years ago I visited Pt Judith as one of my pilgrimage spots. What a difference 30 years make, especially as those thirty years included 9/11. Thus, there were large security fences and other impediments to being able to have a closeup look at this venerable light. Some views from adjacent beaches were found, but even... More

We stopped by this scenic view on a beautiful afternoon. The laid back area was a pleasure to visit.

I have been going to Point Judith Lighthouse for about 25 or so years. I love the ocean views. This last time I went my husband, my mother and I got locked in. The coast guard station on site locked their huge metal gate. If it wasn't for some other site seers in their car we wouldn't have been able... More

Great place to visit, unfortunately it's pretty much on lockdown, due to homeland security. Great views and a pretty park to sit and watch the waves crashing in.

Thank to the family who allows us all to visit this beautiful location in memory of his mom. There are benches to relax on and a memorial that supports the visiting nurses.

We drove down to Point Judith Lighthouse in hopes of going in, but when we got there, the gates were locked and apparently it is manned by the coast guard and homeland security measures keep visitors out. The website indicated that it was accessible, but it certainly wasn't the day were there. Still if is a pretty site.

Place is an active site for homeland security so you have to view it through a chain link fence. It is still worthwhile. Beach close by is very nice. Plenty of parking.

you can't go up into the lighthouse and must stay outside the security fence so our boys can protect us, but there is a nice private park just next to the area. Bring a chair and some lunch like virtually every other person there did, and look out at the ocean on your front and the lighthouse at your rear... More

This is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the ocean view. Sometimes there are surfers to entertain you.
