Beautiful view from the benches in the public parking lot behind Rite Aid (used to be Earnshaw's Drugs for many years). Lovely boats, gulls and ducks to watch, and a pretty little getaway steps from the main row of shops. Worth a stop, and a pic!

Our third time here and you have to try the great small shops, cafes, and diners! The locals are friendly and the town is dog friendly! Great place!

A nice photo opportunity. Usually peaceful, with even a few ducks quacking by looking for breadcrumbs by the Wickford Village bridge. If you're from out of town, it's cute. We stop every now and again as So. County Residents.

Taking a walk in this quaint village is rather pleasant. One can window shop for all sorts of items. There are a few venues for your eating enjoyment as well.

After enjoying a walk around the shops and a little snack or ice cream, check out the harbor. It is very beautiful and relaxing.

...but don't get lulled into peacefulness while in the traffic zone! The cars can be aggressive navigating thru the town, especially at the two turns.

Buy a sandwich at Shayna's on Main Street and walk to the town dock or (even better) Gardener's wharf (at the end of Main Street). Watch the boats and the fishermen come and go. Walk down Main Street to appreciate the 18th century homes and gardens. If you want to kayak walk to the end of Brown Street and rent... More

Wickford Harbor is nice to visit when seen in conjunction with Wickford Village, the quaint town that the harbor borders. The small harbor is populated with large sailboats and, combined with Wickford Village, makes for a lovely visit. Wickford Village had historic buildings, and many artsy shops and some good eateries.

Over the summer this was the place that I always went to. I would spend the day fishing, kayaking, or relaxing on the beach and afterwards I would head over to one of the many eateries in the village.
