The beach here has nothing. The waves were not even that good. There is absolutely nothing special about this beach or the area generally. Everyone is very mean. The cops don't give you directions anywhere. Everyone seems angry that you have come to give them...More

We spent some time at the Ocean House and got to enjoy East Beach while we were there. The beach is clean and very beautiful. There are lots of rocks as well as ample sand areas. The waves are good and the water is cool....More

Get here early on a summer weekend, or actually anytime, because the serenity of a quiet morning beach is beautiful. Parking and four large changing room outhouses are steps from the beach walkway. This beach is wide, great low surf, non-rocky, and is guarded in...More

We spent the 4th of July here and it was perfect. We had to get there about 830am to get a spot in a parking lot , AND it was $40! Cash only so make sure you have it . It was worth every penny...More

While parking is difficult this beach is worth the trip. Best to walk to the east a little and get some privacy. There's 5 miles of beach between Taylor Swift's summer home and Misquamicut Beach so you can be surrounded by locals or have large...More

Went here when I was a child. Rhode Island was like a second home to me. East Beach was a beautiful find. A great beach to walk with great views and friendly people. Plus it's well maintained.

Clean, quieter, limited parking which is great no overcrowding, with amazing views up and down the beach.

It is a bit hard to get to now that T.Swift has moved in next door but you can manage. It is a lot rougher with the tides and the higher waves so it is not as good for the kids as the main beach...More

Beautiful beach, a little crowded at the Watch Hill entrance by Taylor Swift's house (the footpath). Since that's really the only way to access it if you're not staying at the Ocean House you have a bit of walking to do to find a spot...More

There aren't any easily, quickly accessible right on the beach. We did find some restrooms up by the carousel/merry-go-round - which would be a hike of you really had to go.

There are two main beaches in Watch Hill. The public beach entrance is in town and the beach with free access is up a steep hill. There is no central parking; scattered business owners charge for parking on their property... More
