I’ve been to Hunting Island to meet a fishing guide but didn’t stop at the park. It has a beautiful little nature center and well documented trail. It offers camping, cabins and beautiful isolated ocean beaches with plenty of shaded picnic tables within feet of...More

This park offers a great beach that is more natural and less commercial / touristy feel while still offering amenities like a gift / snack shop and bathrooms. To me this is what a beach should be. I recommend bringing a packed/premade meal (maybe in...More

We stayed at Hunting Island campground over spring break and visited the park a few times. Within the park and nature center, the kids (and parents) enjoyed an Owl and Bats presentation that was delivered by a knowledgeable veterinarian nurse. There were live owls and...More

The park and beach are really beautiful (worth the admission price into the park). We came early (around 9:00 am) and had no trouble getting in or finding parking. It was so nice to see a beach in its natural state--instead of full of houses...More

We walked on the beach, climbed the lighthouse and walked several miles on the trails through the marsh woodlands. Very informative Center, friendly staff. Extremely well maintained. The visitor center at the end of the island is a wealth of information. The boardwalk out into...More

We arrived after the lighthouse and adjoining historical buildings had closed - but still had to pay $10 to enter the park. Pretty ocean views, once the beachfront was reached. Poor road condition. To us, not worth the $10 admission fee ... maybe if the...More

Yes you can. I have been fishing off the beach, lagoon and the pier. I don't know if the pier is open yet. We have or trip set up in a couple months so we will find out. I hope this helps
