We visited on July 4 and we're surprised more than half the shops were closed. But, a nice variety of shops, not trashy stores, and several restaurants.

Bay Street has a copious supply of shops, great views, good spots to eat and steeped with history. After 17 years we still enjoy a Bat Street walk you will also.

Great relaxing place to stroll and sit a spell. There are benches, swings and restaurants all along the waterfront. We spent every afternoon swinging and watching the activity on the water.

Quaint shops and restaurants are made for strolling and window shopping! Cute area in the heart of historic Beaufort. Very inviting area. Nice scenery and easy access to the water, a park and the historic area.
