The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships...

The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships that once dotted the Charleston Harbor carrying supplies and passengers to and from the plantations. She is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and is the only 3 mast tall ship that offers public sails in Charleston Harbor. You can sit back and enjoy the the views and gentle ocean breeze or get involved with trimming the sails. We are not a narrated tour, but are happy to answer questions and point out interesting landmarks! Daily afternoon and sunset sails are available March - Early November. Special group sails and private charters available year round!

We hoped that this would be a fun and informative sail boat ride out into the harbor. The driver did a great job but her 2 help mates were very unprofessional and she told them so several times. They only talked with us about things when we asked and the worst part is that it was VERY uncomfortable sitting on... More

Thank you for sailing on the Schooner Pride and for taking the time to write a review. After reading your review, it appears that a sailboat is definitely not what you were looking for. The Pride is intended to be a sailing excursion on an 18th century replica tall ship, not a narrated tour. We offer relaxing sailing excursions in... More

Our group of 6 had a great time sailing on the scooner. It was great fun seeing and talking to the crew about the operation of the sails and the training necessary to sail the ship. We learned a lot about the forts and the training coast guard ship the Eagle. We even got to see some dolphins! Thank you... More

Awesome view of Chareaton and Charleston Harbor. Crew was friendly and informative. We were given the chance to hoist the sails. Also Coast Guard cutter was in port. Great views. Well worth the money.

Took a sunset sail with friends. It was a lovely, relaxing way to see the harbor. As a power boater, I appreciated something different, glass of champagne in hand.

Over Labor Day weekend, my parents and I visited Charleston, SC and decided to try out the Schooner Pride's sunset sail. To be perfectly honest, I was a bit disappointed and didn't feel that the experience was worth the $40 (nonrefundable) per person price tag. There wasn't really any wind that day, so we basically just sat in the middle... More

We had a nice relaxing ride on the Schooner Pride over Labor Day weekend. Being on a 'quiet' boat sailing around the harbor was wonderful. After getting out in the harbor and turning off the motor it was unbelievably quiet. So relaxing. Very much worth the cost. The staff was very tentative and helpful. Highly recommend them.

Had a great time on the Schooner Pride Sunset Wine Cruise in August. This is offered first and third Wed of the month so watch for it. Plenty of wine and food. Sit in back - it's where they place the food. Really nice to enjoy some wine and watch the sun set.

Although we live in Charleston, we have never gone for a sail on the Schooner Pride. I surprised my husband with a sunset cruise for his birthday. Alrhough there was very little wind, there was enough for the sails to go up for a leisurely cruise. The captain and crew are friendly and can answer all questions about the ship... More
