We have been here for a few events and have always been pleased with the time we have spent in Marion Square. Well kept and clean. The place was very crowded during the SEWE events but fun.

We visited during February, and Marian Square appeared to be almost barren; maybe a few trees without leaves on the perimeter. And, also on the perimeter were homeless persons sleeping.

Staying at the Francis Marion Hotel with a room over looking the park. It was winter, so rather dull outside. The corner outside our room with the fountain is a big gathering space for folks "speaking their minds." Preachers, musicians, etc. I am sure it's...More

Nice park to spend some time. Snow was on the ground when we visited but still seemed to be a quiet and reflective spot in the city.

Its a nice park but unless there is an activity or market on, no real need to visit. The farmer's market is supposed to be good but was not on when we were in town given the time of year

While we were visiting Charleston Market, we decided to visit the Pineapple Fountain in Battery Park (where Marion Square is located). It's a welcoming, pleasant green area in the middle of downtown Charleston where you can sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the Charleston...More

We were there after dark so I couldn't say a lot about the park. But there were a ton of Christmas trees done by different groups - cute! There was a cute little house and some wooden deer - cute also! And I LOVED the...More

After walking the city, we sat at the fountain and rested. It was a beautiful day and many people were out enjoying the sunshine. Families, singles, couples, all out enjoying the park.
