This was a very nice plantation to visit. I went with a girl friend and we stayed over 2 hours. The grounds are spectacular! The fountains and statues were really beautiful, I would visit again.

We only visited the grounds and not the house. This is a beautiful place with paths that meander along the river and lakes. You will need mosquito spray! They boast having the tree with the largest trunk east of the Mississippi. It is estimated at...More

The grounds are gorgeous and the restaurant had the best food we had - even in Charleston. We were so pleased.

Beautiful gardens, a working stable with horses, goats, sheep. You will not regret a visit to this lovely plantation. The Spanish moss hanging from trees, dipping down into ponds and lakes is amazing. You must visit the restaurant, best Fried Chicken I have ever had!

Stayed at the Inn at Middleton Place. The property is woodsy, yet has beautiful manacured gardens. The rooms were rustic yet clean, and we were happy that our stay included tours and visits . We were there for a short visit, and we only were...More

We took 2 tours: the slavery to freedom tour and a garden tour. Both are included in the basic entrance fee. Both docents were well informed and effective. The gardens are extensive. Watching the sheep roam the grounds brings the plantation to life. Not many...More
