A great location and respite after spending a day touring. The history of this area is amazing and the beauty of the location is fantastic! Put this place on your list of places to visit!

Bring a towel or blanket, some water, and maybe a snack or two and a good book and you're set for the afternoon at White Point Gardens. Parking is free so get there before 10am!

Visiting The Battery is so educational. Lots of history to learn about. The park is so pretty this time of year.

Lovely spot to walk around, we were there to see the sunset. Also if you get there early enough you can park for free. Oh and there was a yoga class on the Monday night

After walking around Charleston, this park is a great space to rest up and get some relief from the sun

One of the reasons that I love Charleston, is the waterfront. I just adore strolling by the water, looking at the old mansions.

Great placed to view the harbor. Enjoyed walking in the park and reading the plaques. Easy parking for large vehicle.

Enjoyed our walk down to the park from upper East Bay. Beautiful homes and lovely view of harbor along the sea wall walkway. Packed a lunch in hopes of enjoying it in battery park. Unfortunately, they only have park benches and no tables to relax....More

A lot of homes and inns are around the Battery. Few of the closest John Rutledge House and Elliott House Inn. They are within 0.5 miles. The Battery Carriage house is across the street. Very beautiful and one of the... More

Walk along the river any time. But I would not suggest after 11, just for safety's sake. The actual park area closes to keep the homeless from congregating around dark, not 5 PM.
