I considered getting a private walking tour in Charleston but I am glad I did not. Palmer did such a wonderful job in giving us a great walking tour packed with many interesting historical tidbits as well as dining recommendations. Would highly recommend it!

As a local, I've been on many tours with my visitors. On a lark yesterday, a beautiful winter day,I chose this 11:30 tour. It surpassed all the others, which tended to be rehearsed, superficial, and boring (especially the architectural and carriage). Bill, our guide, has...More

Absolutely fantastic tour. We have been to many cities and taken walking tours, but this was by far the best. Highly recommended.

Two hour walking tour with Bill who is extremely intelligent- gave insightful perspective to Charleston. He is from Southern Virginia and addresses the economic and social issues directly. Gave us the centuries long history of Charleston while addressing slavery in an upfront method. Great tour.
