We always make it a point to walk this bridge when we are in Charleston. It is a 5 mile roundtrip walk. Quite windy so even if its super hot out it is much cooler on the bridge. Nice barrier from traffic too. Beautiful view...More

I liked the old bridge much better. I feel like i'm taking off in an airplane with nothing to hold me in. It's beautiful, but I go the long way around when I can.

We enjoyed this bridge from over and under. In the boat tour to Ft Sumter we went under the bridge, stunning against the skyline. On our way to Mt Pleasant for lunch we crossed over the bridge and saw the harbor views. Driving under the...More

The amazing "lightness" conveyed by the materials used in construction makes the bridge a real "sight for sore eyes". Quite appealing in design and expedient obviously in travel to neighboring areas (Mt. Pleasant, Patriot's Point, etc.).

Every time we drive across Ravenel Bridge we comment that one of these days we need to walk across the bridge. Today was the day. We parked at the Mt. Pleasant side the bridge to start our walk. The bridge has a wide bike/pedestrian walk...More

This bridge has 4 lanes in and 4 lanes out of Charleston. It was never too crowded and is a aesthetically pleasing design which can be seen from miles away.
