Tripadvisor led us to Ed Grimball, and we are glad it did. He gave such a great tour, and was a true Southern gentleman. You see a lot of toursguides in Charleston, but I don't think other guides were anywhere close to as enthusiastic as Ed was. He gives you good history, and there's never a dull moment. When Ed... We recently took Ed's tour the first week of June. I signed up on his web page after reading reviews on this site. After 2 weeks, I did not get a reply to my sign-up, so I had to call his number and leave a message. He called me back the day before we left for our trip and apologized... More

From the very beginning Ed was a true wonder. I took his tour based on the trip advisor reviews. The reviews were right on! I have such respect for Charleston now, and all the credit goes to Ed. He answered every question and conduced his tour with a mix of humor, straight facts and reverence for Charleston. He connected well... More

Ed's walking tour of Charleston was the highlight of our trip! His knowledge and description of the city allowed us to view it in a way that we wouldn't have been able to otherwise. We were able to step back in time and see Charleston as it used to be. We were also able to see how the events in... More

My family really enjoyed this informative and friendly tour of Charleston. We would recommend this one if you want to learn about Charleston from a man who knows and loves the city!

Ed is a warm, friendly southern gentleman who take great pride in his city and his tour. If you a looking for an approximately 3 hour walking tour (even though it states it is 2 hours), you will not be disappointed. Ed takes you through the history of Charleston touching on the civil war, the earthquake that hit the city,... More

Our family of four arrived on the tour having missed lunch due to traffic problems. Ed managed to keep all of us fascinated for 3 hours with neither of our 9 and 11 year old children complaining once about anything. I think this speaks volumes about the quality of experience that Ed delivers, and which I doubt any other Charleston... More

If you only do one thing in Charleston, it should be Ed's walking tour! My husband and I were in Charleston for only 2 days on our way to a conference on Kiawah Island. We wanted to do one downtown tour, and there are lots of options- walking tours, carriage tours, ghost tours, etc. We chose this one because it... More

We enjoyed Ed's tour so much. He started by impressing our group of 19 with his ability to remember our names and knowing where we're from before he even met us. His tour was so informative and he answered every question thrown at him. We walked through much of the area and were entertained with facts and stories of the... More
