We enjoyed the history lesson, although 1/2 hour of standing even in shade is a lot. The lesson continued as we walked and sat at four restaurants- very enjoyable, not to mention the VERY good food at each one. We learned a lot, enjoyed meeting...More

This was our first food tour anywhere so we weren't sure what to expect. Tour lasted three hours and we visited 5 locations. Enough food to constitute a meal. Mary, our guide, was engaging and informative about the history of Charleston and its food.

What an excellent way to spend a late morning/early afternoon, eating the fabulous Charleston cuisine. The history of the foods is what amazed me. Eating your way through the decades of how these foods arose from perseverance.

The tour is two hours and our restaurant and food stops are pretty close together. I would say you would only be walking outside a total of maybe about 30 minutes of the tour.
