Excellent tour. Enjoyed Sobys on the Side because Chef explained his education and how their kitchen worked. Great drink pairings with the food at each place. Generous portions at each restaurant. In my humble opinion could have two restaurants with desserts and 3 with entrees

I had always wanted to go on one of John Nolan's tours and finally got the opportunity when our homeschool co-op scheduled a tour with him. John was at ease with the children and was totally adept at engaging them and spanning their wide age range. I had wondered if we would be able to hear him with all the... More

Group of 17 friends toured together for a birthday celebration. About half had experienced tour on previous occasions. Everyone had a wonderful time and throughly enjoyed the food, the restaurants, the history and the restaurant staff and chefs. John is a great tour guide.

John, our tour guide, cheerfully took our party on a private tour on short notice. The tour was one of the best we have ever taken. John was an expert on Greenville history with photos and great stories. Very interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.

I took the "At the Chef's Table" culinary food tour, which combines tasting great food and learning about the history of downtown Greenville. The food and drinks from all the stops were excellent. The chefs were informative and you could tell they really love their work and helping people to enjoy good food. We went to places I would never... More

What an awesome fun experience this was. I highly recommend it for groups or just a couple looking for a gastronomic adventure. As a group, we walked to and ate at at numerous up-scale restaurants. It was a chance for the chef to show off so we had very different eating experiences. By the time the tour ended, we were... More

We've lived in Greenville since 1974 but we learned some new things on this tour. We had never heard of Chicora Women's School, which was on a hill in the west end for a brief time in the 1800's. We didn't know that Duke's Mayo started in the pavilion next to the river. The tour was fun, the company congenial.

We took the West End history tour and learned a lot about the history of Greenville. John shared a lot of historical pictures which made it extremely interesting. Definitely recommend this tour!
