    Model City
Every city should follow the Greenville model. The park in the middle of the city is beautiful and it brings everyone out to experience life. I visited it during the March Madness tournament a few years ago and I loved it so much I came back with my family.

    Reedy River Falls
We took our dog and little girl to Falls Park on the Reedy while visiting Greenville. The waterfall is about 28-feet and quite impressive right in the middle of downtown. There is 2-hour parking at a lot as well as street parking in the area, but arriving early, around 9, we were able to park in the lot. The trails are paved and there are ramps to get around stairs so we could push our daughter in a stroller. Great views of the waterfall from the trails and Liberty Bridge. The longer distance Swamp Rabbit Trail runs through the park and we extended our hike heading down to the zoo and back. Overall, a great park and must-see if visiting Greenville.

Nice greenspace without leaving the city
Great place for everyone. Lots of space to walk around, run, explore, relax, enjoy the scenery. It's an oasis in the middle of the city, makes you feel like you're out in the wilderness, yet you're right by all kinds of restaurants and downtown happenings.

    The Heart of Greenville
My friends and I took our first trip to Greenville and stayed in a downtown hotel. We were thrilled to have this park just a few blocks away. We walked through it, over the suspension bridge, sat on the swing bench and picked up some gelato to eat while looking at the waterfall. We talked with a local playing with his dog and enjoyed the early spring flowers. Great place to enjoy!

A True Nature Lovers Gem in the Heart of Downtown
The hidden gem in the heart of Greenville, Falls Park on the Reedy is everything a park should be. We entered the park by way of Pedrick Garden at Falls Park, walked over a small bridge and down a side road to the park.  We were able to get a great view of Liberty Bridge and could hear the falls. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes and hotels all within walking distance, Falls Park boasts lush greenery lined paved walkways with benches and swings to sit, relax and enjoy the views and sounds of the falls.  There are large open green spaces available for kids to play, families to picnic and relax and pets to roam. The park was busy on the Saturday we visited, yet it did not feel crowded. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the area. A true gem for nature lovers! Take a stroll across Liberty Bridge to get the most expansive view of Reedy River Falls. Enjoy listening to the flow of water, natural white noise. From the bridge you will be able to see adults, kids, and dogs on the rocks below enjoying the shallow areas of the falls. We were not able to fully explore the area to our liking due to our time constraints. So we look forward to returning for a long weekend to explore this amazing park, the Greenville downtown and the surrounding areas soon.

    Beautiful Downtown Greenville SC
What a beautiful day at Reedy Creek. Wife and I hiked the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the river walk. So much to see and do in Downtown Greenville. Lots of fantastic restaurants in walking distance. We will revisit soon with our bicycles.

It's a beautiful park and I loved the view of the Falls from the bridge. But I have to disagree with its "handicap accessibility". I use an electric scooter and couldn't make it back up the ramps. The elevator got me to the lowest level. There are signs on the restaurant between that and the bridge access that say "customers only", so I had to take the ramps up a level. A stranger was kind enough to push me. We wandered on down, but I ended up waiting at the red sculpture for my husband to walk back to the car and come for me.

I went on a summer Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded (not surprised). That part didn't bother me in the least, except maybe difficulty finding a close parking space. The park, bridge and falls were beautiful!!! However, several tall buildings are under construction right on the river. I realize this park is downtown, but that really takes away from the overall ambience. Also, there were many bicyclists on the walkways. Normally, this wouldn't pose any problems, but when there are crowds of people with young children walking and enjoying the scenery, this is not good. I did see several minor bike collisions with people. Lastly, there were some people with large dogs (including pit bulls). These are best left at home, as there were numerous "barking skirmishes" with smaller dogs. Had it not been for these issues (overdeveloping, bicyclists, large dogs), I would rate it a 5; with those in mind, my rating is a 3.

Well, this gem is in the heart of downtown Greenville. A cool water walk. Start by the Lazy Goat restaurant and saunter down the lovely walk way looking across at one of the old textile buildings on the green which lies at the bottom of the Peace Center Theatre DIstrict grounds. Check out the various art stores and tea store as you make your way under the Main Street bridge. Bring checkers, backgammon even cards and play a game under the bridge at one of the many tables and chairs. Watch the ducks as they swim around the river dunking down for nibbles of food. Take a stop and take a load off and enjoy one of the many comfy bench swings under a beautiful wood crafted pergola. Enjoy the unique landscaping beds and gorgeous seasonal flowers -- it truly is an inspriration gazing at these beautifully planned out gardens. Enjoy Shakespeare in the Park (seasonal) on a blanket with a picnic or a to go dinner from one of the many restaurants that line E Main Street and the surrounding area. The up and coming West End is a great place to catch a ball game!(Go Greenville Drive!) Walk up the incredible stone steps and you may catch the young adults in a poetry slam in the green grass circle or playing hacky sac or young kids showing off their gymnastic skills. This is where you'll walk over the falls onto the unique suspension Liberty Bridge and take in the sight and sounds of the falls. So relaxing and mesmerizing. A great place for photos and enjoying one of the many cool places of downtown Greenville! This is for everyone! Solo or groups - business, kids etc!

What a beautiful area...if you go to the Upcountry Museum, you will see what it USED to be like less than 20 years ago. The city has done a fabulous job in turning this area into something that is just beautiful. Get out and walk as far or as little as you want and you'll be surrounded by lovely vegetation, stunning florals, whispering rivers and raging waterfalls, wondrous wildlife, restaurants, art studios, coffee shops and boundless businesses in this bustling urban oasis. We went on a raw and rainy day and it was still delightful

We visited here about 3 years ago in order to view the solar eclipse. We were back for a weekend visit to Greenville, and we walked through here several times. If you see a timeline of how this area was connected with the city over time, it is especially impressive what they've done with it in the last 20 years. It is hard to believe that it was almost covered up with vegetation, pollution, and a traffic bridge through most of the 1990s.

Thankfully, someone had the foresight to re-focus and anchor the downtown on this revitalized area. There are so many restaurants and shops to enjoy (there were probably more pre-COVID). The fact that the Swamp Rabbit Trail terminates here and allows walking / running / biking for miles to the north is an added attraction.

Any downtown would be lucky to have any sort of feature remotely similar to this. It really sets Greenville apart, IMO.

Besides the fact that it’s beautiful, it’s centrally located in Greenville if you’re downtown and has some great walking paths. See the Peace Bridge and grab an ice cream at Spill the Beans near the entrance. Free Shakespeare performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the park during the summer

The Falls Park is a wonderful place to go. it is a very relaxing place for you and your family to go and walk around or have a picnic. There is a fantastic view and many places to walk around and see. The only problem is that it is in the middle of the city, so it can be noisy, but there are always good distractions there. Overall, a beautiful park to visit.

I have lived near Falls Park for most of my life and it is always alive and fun. They have everything from Rubber Duck races, bike/walking paths, to music and theatre in the park. Plus, the bridge over Falls park is amazing and there are many great places to eat nearby!!! The only word of advice that I have, is do not get in the water because it is filthy.

I’ve lived in Greenville for 17 years and seem a lot of changes - not all good. I was hugely surprised by what I found downtown along the park and city streets next to the river on Sunday evening.
During the day Greenville is a typical middle
class modern city with too many restaurants but friendly people. People smile and say Hello and are polite
Sunday night I thought I had slipped into another dimension. Main St was teeming with noisy cars: windows down and blaring music. Then there were the groups of
motorcycles also raving engines and blaring music. Lots and lots of young people in groups milling around. Street musicians at several places with small dance parties around them. Lots of calling and yelling. It didn’t seem terribly dangerous, though it could easily have become so, but it was also not the Greenville of the ads for serene, leisurely dining and strolls along the river.
It was certainly not a family atmosphere.

This is a very well-done natural wonder carved out of a bustling urban area. They have done a tremendous job reclaiming it from the forgotten river underneath a freeway overpass. You can approach the bottom from a trail or walk across a beautiful pedestrial bridge in the shape of an arc. We parked for free at a dedicated parking area, although it is small and I'm sure it fills up quickly on weekends. From there is is a 10 minute walk through a nice wooded area with a stream running through it. We didn't find much else to do around there but the falls themselves were nice.
