Love to walk and explore at Kalmia Gardens. The boardwalk goes over Black Creek and also follows it, allowing you to get an up-close view of a true cypress swamp and flowing creek habitat.

Kalmia Gardens is not only a garden maintained by Coker College, but a boardwalk along Black Creek and into the nearby woods. Do bring bug spray!

The garden was a great afternoon trip. Grounds were very well taken care of and the walking paths were great as well. I will be visiting it again and trying the long trail next time

Black eyed Susan's and a few other plants still in bloom in late Oct. Many different trees, creek, birds, an interpretive walk and a nice rolling walk.
