Glad we went. You must pay $7 to get in the gate. Very nice area - clean - nice trails. We come to HHI for the beach and so it wasn't as alluring to us the horseback riding or the hiking trails...but if you like...More

Area varies from beautiful lake area to low country marsh. Boardwalks help make trail easier. Biking possible in some areas. Historical areas ie Indian she'll rings. Fun family break from the beach

Great place for a hike, fishing, or grilling out. Its a very large place with small lakes for fishing. There is also a covered shelter picnic area with grills scattered throughout. Nice place for photography too.

The bike trails are well mapped and are so useful that you can go without driving in Sea Pines. You can travel them anytime of the year. From the Sea Pines Forest Preserve to South Beach

We have visited the preserve each time we have been to Hilton Head. Always on the lookout to see alligators. Lots of birds and trails. Quiet and away from the crowds.

I had a 5,7,16 year old and grandma with me and we decided to walk the trails. It was very humid but very beautiful. Bring plenty of water, a map and good shoes. We all enjoyed seeing the wildlife.
