This Hilton Head treasure features the wonders of the area. From marshes to wildlife, it is all here. We took a guided tour with other locals and tourists. We enjoyed viewing local birds, fire ants (be careful!), and alligators. This is not to be missed!!!

Children and adults alike will enjoy this museum. One building has historical displays ad the other has exhibits of local small wildlife.

We only visited the first section of the refuge, with a walk back to the first large bird pond. It is interesting to see all the bird varieties at the pond, but it is a hike without much too look at. Bring a hat and...More

Had a chance to visit on a morning before conference sessions began that afternoon; therefore, could only do the walk around the Ibis Pond which is rookery. Awesome! So many different species of birds. Roadway is gravel (no driving beyond parking area) so good for...More

Absolutely. I would recommend bringing your bike. It's a gravel/dirt path/road that is not hard at all to bike on.
