I would like to put caddie Kevin on notice. The guy was truly awful. Starts the day by getting in the 3 point stance in the middle of the fairway to watch our tee shots, like he’s Rudy Rudiger or something.
But alas it happens, and I was looking forward to having him read the complex greens. However, the complexity of the greens were made far worse by the fact that Kevin stepped in my line on nearly ever single hole. Nothing like Kevin’s paw tracks right in my line from 10 ft….and his reads? I’m pretty sure after the first hole he created a random number generator to decide how many “cups outside” the putt should be aimed.
Kevin’s banter? I guess okay if you want to hear him pitch his executive security business to you, an obvious donut for anyone who dares invest. I also kid you not, the guy doesn’t stop talking about himself for the whole round. Believe it or not Kevin, I’m not here to hear your life story.
He tried to tell you he had caddied for some of the games greats and was even responsible for a few pga wins…no way those guys would let him wash their balls let along carry their bags and provide reads.
His management of the clubs? Not only did he lose my brand new wedge 2 times, he put it in the wrong bag at the end of the round…it’s left handed for Christ sake! We had to drive back an hour to pick it up. Pretty shorty work for a former NYPD officer.
We got a good chuckle watching him rummage through my bag for balls (I’m hoping I still have all my credit cards) before whacking it with our clubs but without our permission.
He then proceeded to tell us the course we were playing the next day was a “total dog track and that we should ask for our money back. He also mocked us for renting “horrible sticks” for $75.
4 hours and $450 later we limped in. The course says you are supposed to offer $30 per person as a minimum. After 4.5 hours, I felt like Kevin should be paying us? The guy had more fun than any of us.

7/21/2021 I played in the afternoon. I have played this course before, as we come down every year. I am thinking it was because the recent storm Matthew that the course was not up to the standard, especially for $320 a round. Some of the backs of the greens were burned out and the fairway was a little hairy. The greens were unusually slow and still sandy. The bunkers need a little more sand. Our caddie Eric did a good job of walking the line of good banter and providing the best knowledge of lines to take hitting our tee balls and where a safe miss would be for a second shot.

This course sets the bar high, and a must play if in Hilton Head. Being a woman, I was a bit anxious to play due to it's reputation for narrow fairways and small greens, but we had the most amazing day here. Tee to green the conditions were exceptional! Clubhouse is just gorgeous, and super friendly staff!!! Huge shout out to Sylvio our Caddy, I'm not a huge fan of required caddies I prefer to play my own game, without the annoyance of having someone In my ear, Sylvio fit the bill perfectly, great personality, incredible knowledge of the course, and didn't yack all day and tell me how to putt unless I asked him. He was very efficient at finding the balls of the 3 guys I played with, mine pretty much stayed in play the entire round which was a pleasant surprise, Sylvio explained my 190 yard drives are easier to keep in play than some of the mens that go 100 yards more. We will be back again next year, and definitely request him again!

Just back from a trip to Hilton Head, group of 16 from the UK ….played Harbour Town links course. Probably remember this course more than any other. Appreciate you have no option but to have a forecaddie….ours was great and down to earth, thanks to the caddy Ryan for your help.
Made to feel very welcome by all staff….the place oozes class from the driving range set up, to the putting green and clubhouse and contents within. Especially made to feel welcome by a senior member of staff outside and in car park…apologies but missed his name.
Hit a nice straight drive on the lighthouse 18th hole, whilst my three mates “plonked” it into the swamp!
If you get the chance to play I would recommend it…..looking for to the RBC event in spring on tv, and bring back happy memories of our visit

We played just before Thanksgiving, we paid $325.00 a golfer, it included a walking caddy. Our caddy was Charles, help answered our questions about the holes and actually helped our game by giving us some pointers. I parred 17, my favorite hole. I have been the to the PGA tournament every year from 1993 to 2019, be back next year after Covid. Just a fun day. Will play again.

Was attending a conference at the Inn and Club at Harbor Town Sep 19 - 23 and was considering my options to play the Harbor Town Golf Links. Given the conference's daily end time, I didn't have a lot of time for a full 18 holes (coupled with expected heavy rain conditions on each day), so asked a few questions about alternatives (9 holes, twilight, rain checks, etc.). While the Pro Shop personnel were generally helpful, I found their replies to be a bit "short" and somewhat condescending. This was surprising, because when I've been to parallel-level places (Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines), I found their pro shop staff to be extremely personable and engaging. Maybe they were frustrated about the weather (actually closed the course one morning), but I didn't feel very welcome, Ended up just hitting the putting green and driving range and buying a few souvenirs.

I was not expecting the toll road ($1.25) to get there or the $9 fee to enter Sea Pines Resort. The Resort is in great shape and top notch service. A fore caddy is mandatory also for $30 also. . (Caroline was great)
I was expecting more from the course, based off of watching it on TV. The last hole is great and very scenic. It was a bucket list course but $250 is excessive for one round of golf. Glad I did it.

Great course, winding through the trees and water it really is stunning, then you emerge at the Calabogie Sound to finish off. Lots of great holes the par threes were my faves. Wit our forecaddie was excellent.

Got an opportunity to stay and play the Harbour Town golf course. Rented a condo across from the club house facing hole 1 going out and home 9 coming in. Great opportunity to watch the operation from a distance and got to play on my 60th birthday.
TJ was our forecaddie and he was an awesome addition to the days golf. He kept us moving at a comfortable pace and his yardage and reads were on point.
Griff the starter gave us the ground rules and welcomed us to this hallowed ground. Super friendly staff, one and all.
My swing failed me for 8 holes but I striped my tee shot on 9 and got my first par. My scoring on the back 9 improved as I got my swing back and was just a few over par. I enjoyed all the course had to offer.
All in all a great day, used the same golf ball for 18 holes, and have some awesome pictures and memories for this birthday round.
It’s not a course for the meek, a round will damage your wallet, but am so glad we got to enjoy this course for this special birthday.

The Harbor Town Golf clubhouse is a shining star in Hilton Head. The Golf Links bar and Grill exceeds every expectations of a 5 star, first class, southern, traditional country club. The staff has exceptional customer service, the food is dependable, and the bar choices are many. As a Sea Pines resident, entertaining guests at Links Bar and Grill is our most prideful experience. The 2024 PGA Heritage tournament change not offering clubhouse passes to the residents was most disappointing. It is our request that in 2025 the PGA shows appreciation to the patrons of the face of Sea Pines and reestablish the clubhouse pass option!

My wife and I will be staying at the resort in June, I would be playing as a single (likely twilight time frame). Is it an option for my spouse to ride with me? Is there an extra cost for this?
