We've been past this park a 100 times and never when in until this week. WOW what a find, we loved walking round this area. The trail are well marked and easy to walk. There are decking going over the mash and they have many signs with info for you about the mash land. The park is open until sunset.

This is a lovely park with bathroom accommodations & nice walking trails through wooded areas to the Intra-coastal waterway - BUT...take your bug spray! I was eaten up by the "no-see-ems" on my visit & I'm not sure that I will go back again. But if these rascals don't bother you - you will certainly enjoy the visit!! :) My... More

Quiet, beautiful park setting with plenty of hiking trails through woods, over salt marsh (boardwalk) and along the ICW for a relaxing stroll.

Wonderful nature trails with many interpretive signs, fishing on the intercoastal is possible (supply your own license and gear). Lots of benches are available for your pleasure and marsh walk is one of the best i've visited.

Lots of wooded trails as well as boardwalk over the marsh. Peaceful little park with picnic tables and swings. Also an interesting family cemetery for Vereen and Horry families with graves back to the revolutionary war

We enjoyed a nice walk in Vareen Gardens - the setting is very quite & peaceful with wonderful wooded areas, informational signs along the pathways, views of the intercoastal waterway, picnic areas and gazebos. Great for shell collecting.

My husband and I walked our little dog all over this peaceful spot on a pleasant winter day. There is a nice view of the water from some boardwalks and miles of well-maintained woodland trails. There is also a picnic pavilion available. The restroom facilities are a couple of port-a-potties. All-in-all, it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature,... More

After years of visiting the North and South Carolina beaches, I stumbled upon Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens and have enjoyed returning several times a year. Approximately a mile after entering the gates the paved road ends in a parking lot. This is a good starting point for exploring the well maintained property. There are walking paths throughout as well as... More
