Very nice place to unwind, take walks, watch birds/wildlife or picnic. Have enjoyed many morning sunrises here over the last few months. Usually not real crowded and frequently has great breezes near the bay areas. My only complaint is they need some water fountains or...More

A beautiful place to walk with a couple people or even solo. We witnessed a good amount of wildlife and lookout points along the way. I recommend this activity for a sunny or slightly rainy day to anyone looking to get away from the beach...More

Beautiful place with long boardwalks over the marsh and a pier on the intracoastal! Gorgeous place to commune with nature. There are several trails through the wooded area that are excellent for walking. The trails have large, uneven places with exposed tree roots and deep...More

If you are at the beach and need a break from it, shopping or the crowds check this place out. It's a nice view of the marsh and the Intracoastal waterway. Secluded yet close to the beaches.

Nice place for a walk but not much in the way of a garden. Boardwalks lead to inlet waterway with nature informational plaques along the way. Some wooded pathways also. But no flowers.😢

A great and serene place for a walk with friends or with your dog. Winding paths through the woods or a run on the rocky oyster shoals for your dog.

If you are thinking botanical garden, this is not your place. The only plantings were along the road. You won't see the ocean. The park goes only to the inter-coastal waterway. Should you wish to visit a maritime forest and marsh lands, this is a...More

Vereen Memorial Gardens is a gem of a place. However, if you are planning to visit early in the morning, be aware of the lady with five unleashed dogs. I'm reasonably sure she goes there frequently so the dogs can swim in the intracoastal. One...More

We had a great time walking along the water and wetlands this past week.Since moving here 2 years ago we have been enjoying many of the great gardens and sights that North Carolina and South Carolina have to offer.

You can pick up a trail map at the office on the left at the entrance. The trails are color coded. The length from the Intracoastal Waterway to the entrance is lengthy. We parked at the deepest parking lot and walked from... More
