This is one of those rare living history museums that does everything right. The sprawling farm where a little known but extremely important battle of the Revolution took place is extraordinarily well-restored. The costumed participants, re-enactors, and un-costumed staff were all well informed and as...More

This is a great place to go back in time and see what it was really like. The structures are just like they were hundreds of years ago but the best part is the enterpertures that work there and dress the part. I love going...More

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We appreciate our guests who share information about Historic Brattonsville. Many of our interpreters are volunteers who enjoy sharing their love of history with our guests.

We enjoyed chatting with the interpreters located at the different homes, outbuildings and the main office. This is a wonderful full day activity that a couple or family could go on. So much history in one location.

Barbara, Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review. We hope that you enjoyed the Battle of Huck's Defeat. Most of the re-enactors are volunteers. You gave some great advice for visitors about being prepared with comfortable shoes, food and water.

We apologize that your Historic Brattonsville experience was not up to our standards. We had over 200 re-enactors from throughout the East Coast that had not been to our site before. Alcohol is never allowed on our property; and rudeness to guests is never acceptable....More
