    Wonderful, informative , historical visit
The tour interpreter -Mrs. Gillard, gave an excellent talk about Gullah Geechee history & culture. Rick gave an excellent tour of the Plantation house-origin and how it fit into the scheme of the old slave plantation life, and post emancipation period. JB gave an informative overview of how the slave quarters were constructed, and how slaves conducted their daily lives. Over all good tour. There is more to be seen there, but we cut our tour short due to the rainy wet conditions on that Saturday visit.

    Pumpkin patch fun
We took our 3 year old grandson to the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch Festival on the first weekend and he had a blast. We did the pumpkin patch tractor/train ride twice, two great slides, the petting zoo and face painting. We went in the morning the first Saturday and it was not too crowded. It can be a long walk from parking depending on the crowds but I highly recommend for young children.

    Fun, exceptional and educational tour
We visited Boone in October and the weather was perfect. All of the people working as tour guides or information guides were helpful or entertaining. Great stories of the owners, slaves and history of the plantation. I would highly recommend seeing this plantation, the tours exceeded my expectations.

    Awesome Experience for
I enjoyed this more than I was bargaining for. My mind was blown at the amount of history and level of interaction that was included with the ticket. I honestly wish I would have made a whole day to spend here because I definitely ran out of time before I could see it all.

    Nice
Easy to locate and park. At the Hospitality Centre they give you a house tour time and a schedule of the day's events. Tour of house was nice and about 30 min. Right after we did the tractor farm tour then walked through the slave quarters. Listened to the Gullah presentation which was a bit of a let down after reading so many rave reviews. Map was easy to follow and a Cafe is available. Restrooms throughout.

    Beautiful place
We cam first thing... very impressive driving down the oak avenue. At the visitor center they'll assign you a house tour and recommend timing to see a number of the scheduled activities going on. We had an excellent overview of the history and the previous owners, house tour, on to the waiting tractor tour of the site, going thru the various slave cabins and the Gullah culture presentation, all were excellent. Really enjoyed our visit here

    Enriching experience
Wonderful visit to this, still working, farm and plantation. The grounds are beautiful, particularly the oak lined drive that you travel to get to the main area. We did the stable, house and grounds tours. All guides were very engaging. Such rich history, and grateful that the private owner continues to open her property up for us all to enjoy and learn! We did the AAA tickets which were incredibly reasonable @25 each.

    Very affordable. Family fun
The experience at Boone Hall wade top notch. We enjoyed all of the talks and the scenery was breath taking. The guides were very knowledgeable and it was cool to learn that it is a current working farm supplying grocery stores.

    Great Historical site
A great historical site. I was impressed with the enslaved people's quarters, and having something different to learn in each one. I really enjoyed the Gullah lady's singing and story-telling. Also, the tractor tour of the grounds was fun.

We liked that our entrance ticket covered all the tours. The guest services station did a nice job of planning the must-sees for our self-guided tour. We enjoyed the tractor tour around the farm.
The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars is that the original house was torn down and the building we toured was built in the 1930s. If you’re looking to see a plantation from the 1700s or 1800s, you will be disappointed. Only a few rooms on the first floor of the house were open for the tour. It would’ve been nice to see the kitchen and the upstairs bedrooms.
Seems like the best time to go here is in the fall during their harvest days- lots of activities for the kids.

Great tour of the historic Boone Hall Plantation. From tractor ride to the tour of the house and everything in between was great. They even have a little cafe to eat at just incase you get a little hungry. Well with the visit if you are in CHS.

We took a tour of the plantation home (first level), wagon ride around the plantation area and historic dwelling tour. More tours were available but we didn’t take those. Worth the money and must visit!

I don’t usually post reviews, but when I got this request…I HAD to post! This place is so amazing! Rich with past history and current purpose. They are giving away this tour; It packs a bang for your buck. Well run. Scheduled so you can easily jump in & out of tours to get it all done in about 3 hours. I would have spent 4-5 hrs enjoying the grounds if I wasn’t solo. The owner’s mission of preservation is so honorable and you feel that legacy in all the tours. They honor the black history honestly and the Gullah Culture admirably. Best of all, they serve the community with so many events and services. Thanks Boone Hall Plantation for being an example of integrity.

Disappointed that main house, built in 1936 was the main attraction. Did not exist prior to 1936. Main attraction should be the slave quarters—that is history. Horse stables were interesting. Whole thing a disappointment.

My favorite part was the gulouh lady stories and singing. The house tour was cramped and not so fun. The land itself and trees were just gorgeous!

Beautiful property and a great educational experience. We came here as a family and learned so much together. Boone Hall does a great job of not shying away from their dark past and it was a truly eye opening experience. You do not want to miss the Gullah presentation during your visit! We finished with some ice cream and strawberry beer in their cafe and it made for a nice spot to talk with the kids about everything we learned that day.
