We enjoyed our visit here, and really liked the ability to be able to wander the grounds without a guide. The house, still decorated for Christmas, was beautiful. our guide was knowledgeable but tried a bit too hard for laughs.
We wanted to see a home that had been restored to original furnishing and this was it. In each room, the docent had stories that related to the pieces of the families that had dwelled there. Interesting to hear thru the years the owners reinvented...More
My husband and I were so excited to visit this plantation because it was rated #1 by USA Today's 10 BEST and NBC Daytime Television. The plantation must have paid the networks for sponsorship. As we traveled around the land by wagon, it is a...More

Enjoyed our visit to Boone Hall Plantation - a working plantation with a rich history. The guides were helpful and we liked that one admission was good for all the attractions including house tour, carriage ride, and visits to the slave quarters. It was an...More

If not for Ed this would have been a disappointment. However Ed humour, enthusiast house tour made it worth while, best guide I’ve had The please to listen too.
The house tour is of downstairs, and the rest of the plantation, well ordinary, I was...More

We were in Charleston for four days and didn't have a car. We used Uber to go to the Plantations. Many people were using Lyft or Uber, so they are very familiar with people requesting to go to these plantations.
