We enjoyed our visit here, and really liked the ability to be able to wander the grounds without a guide. The house, still decorated for Christmas, was beautiful. our guide was knowledgeable but tried a bit too hard for laughs.

We wanted to see a home that had been restored to original furnishing and this was it. In each room, the docent had stories that related to the pieces of the families that had dwelled there. Interesting to hear thru the years the owners reinvented...More

My husband and I were so excited to visit this plantation because it was rated #1 by USA Today's 10 BEST and NBC Daytime Television. The plantation must have paid the networks for sponsorship. As we traveled around the land by wagon, it is a...More

So glad we took the advice of the Charleston Visitor Center host! We were staying in Mount Pleasant and the plantation was only 10 minutes away. The 24.00 admission gives you a house tour and a Gullah Geechee story teller presentation. She was quite good!...More

Enjoyed our visit to Boone Hall Plantation - a working plantation with a rich history. The guides were helpful and we liked that one admission was good for all the attractions including house tour, carriage ride, and visits to the slave quarters. It was an...More

What an experience this is! You go back in time several generations and are accommodated with twenty-first century concessions. A winner. If you are able to make it out here, I recommend it heartily. This plantation is an important one in the panoply of Charleston,...More

This was not our first visit to Boone Hall Plantation, but it was absolutely the best. Either they have significantly improved their tours, or I simply noticed it this time around (not having to battle the summer heat no doubt). The Hall was beautifully decorated...More

We had a good experience at Boone Hall although there wasn’t many staff around. The history was done well in the plantation however for the price of the visit it didn’t seem as worth it as I thought. There wasn’t a lot of staff available...More

If not for Ed this would have been a disappointment. However Ed humour, enthusiast house tour made it worth while, best guide I’ve had The please to listen too. The house tour is of downstairs, and the rest of the plantation, well ordinary, I was...More

We were in Charleston for four days and didn't have a car. We used Uber to go to the Plantations. Many people were using Lyft or Uber, so they are very familiar with people requesting to go to these plantations.

Yes, they have a little café. We only got drinks. Didn't seem like a full menu.
