Nice place to stroll!

This is a great feature for Shem Creek. The city of Mt Pleasant was smart to create such a great walk way around the creek and marsh. Lots of nature to see and enjoy.

Shem Creek is one of the most treasured natural landmarks of the Charleston area. It is both history and beauty and nature at its best!

Nice boardwalk and a great place to watch the sunset. You can watch boaters, kayakers, and SUPers go by on the creek, very relaxing. There's a good view of the Ravenel bridge and people can fish from here.

Shem Creek on Coleman Blvd., in Mt. Pleasant, is one of our go-to places when we have visitors. It is beautiful and a nice place to walk on the boardwalk which is pretty new and well maintained. There are restrooms, many choices for a restaurant, and lots to look at including boats from Charleston Harbor, once in a while there... More

Most tourist stay downtown, but if you can grab a cab and go to Shem Creak in Mount Pleasant, you will not be disappointed. Incredible restaurant, walking paths, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, dolphin watching, manatees in summer, boat cruises, fresh shrimp and then walking around old town Mount Pleasant and reading the historical markers from the revolutionary and civil... We enjoy staying at Shem creek inn overlooking the park more than we enjoy staying downtown. It's serene and great for meditation and yoga

We ate at a local restaurant that overlooked the boardwalks. The boardwalks were in great shape and would be a great place to let little ones burn some energy. We even saw a dolphin traveling up the rive. This was a beautiful spot for a walk along the water.

After a lunch by the water of Shem Creek, we decided to walk off a bit of our lunch. We walked the entire length of the boardwalks at the park. IT was a gorgeous day out, wuth a light breeze and very enjoyable. It is well maintained and very clean, with places to sit here and there. There are nice views... More
