The title says it all. You walk along a wooden walkway over swamp with nothing to see but uniform grass until you get to the harbor. After looking at the harbor, you walk back to your car.

This was an expensive addition for Mount Pleasant to endeavor upon. And, they did a magnificent job! What a great place for tourists and locals alike to go for a stroll after dinner on Shem Creek!

We enjoy walking the boardwalk and pier with our granddaughters. They like to catch little crabs and we have seen dolphins. My granddaughters also like seeing people paddle boarding and the boats as the pass.

This is a great place to unwind & view nature. It is smaller than I expected, but quiet nevertheless (we were here late morning weekday). Walk the boardwalk & bird watch. We viewed swifts, magpies, seagulls & pelicans. Unfortunately we did not locate any exciting...More

Beautiful park offering great views of the Ravenel bridge and Shem Creek. Many people like to fish off of the pier too!

This was ok. But we had been to several other on the water places that seem to have more magic. I was surprised at all the photographers at sunset. I found the Mount Pleasant Pier much more magical and ironically no other photographers there and...More

Leaving the Mount Pleasant area after a long weekend we enjoyed the peace and quiet walking the Shem Creek wood boards over the marsh watching birds, shrimp boats and kayaker's paddling by. So restful just to enjoy nature.

This is a nice boardwalk to get you out onto the marsh along Shem Creek. The walk meanders along the creek side. Signage provides information about the birds and wildlife you might see along the way. There's a platform for fishing towards the end.

There might be places to crab in the Charleston area but not right on Shem Creek near the hotel. The best source for that information would be South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

The elevated boardwalk accommodates dogs. They have bag stations and you do have to pick up after your dog. Of course, dogs need to be on a leash. The rest of the "park" is pluff mud, water and wildlife, so you (and your... More
