Diving boards on the lake

We come from Clemson for the hiking, lake, and especially the diving boards. My kids can spend hours on the high and low drives monitored by a lifeguard.

The place was nice but they did a poor job of advertising on their site. We camped at a rustic tent site and the only reason I chose this over a standard site was due to the fact that it was lakefront. When we got there though we could not see the lake due to all the trees and had... More

Oconee State Park might just be the best place on Earth! The Ranger staff offers great entertainment and activities for the kids over the summer. We usually stay over the 4th of July and have a blast with the field and water games. The cabins are quaint and small but comfortable and clean. We love sitting on the back porch... More

We have stayed at Oconee State Park numerous times over the years. This is a great park for families with children. They have activities for the children and adults. You can rent a boat and fish. Good place to disconnect. There is wifi at the rangers station. Grocery store in Seneca just a few miles away. The cabins are rustic... More

Today we went to Station Cove Historical Site and hiked to the Station Cove Waterfall. This was an easy hike to a very nice waterfall. The trial splits off and you can hike 2.7 miles to the Oconee State Park. Four members of our group hiked this mostly uphill trial and the rest of us drove to Oconee State Park.... More

This our second time in the last month camping here. We were on the lake loop which has a completely renovated Bath House on that side. Hopefully they do all the others the same way. We would like to see more of the park staff or campground volunteers especially after it should be quiet hours. Park staff did help us... More

We've stayed here a couple of times now. The park is beautiful and there are lots of waterfalls and trails in the local area to explore. Park staff are not exactly friendly, but not unfriendly, either. The cabins are nice, but they could do a better job cleaning them. Nothing gross, just evident that whoever is doing the cleaning doesn't... More

This is local for me so I am prejudiced but this is a wonderful park. There are two nice lakes, one available for swimming. Some of the cabins (updated for modern times however) date back to the CCC dates and have tons of character. There are miles of hiking trails. In fact, Oconee State Park is the southern terminus for... More

Whether you are just passing through or looking for a place to spend the day or a weekend, you will enjoy this park. Camping, cabins, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking. Got it all. If you are nearby, definitely worth a detour.
