This site was everything we heard it was and more! We spent five hours and walked most of the property. What a beautiful place! We saw a lot of people who were not mobile in wheeled rides, which was very nice that the Gardens furnished a way for everyone to visit. Beautifully maintained. All the staff were friendly. Do not miss these gardens. I visited here15 years ago and remembered at as a must see on this trip, and was not disappointed when visiting the it again. The zoo exhibits are great, as is the boat ride. The gardens are so beautiful and serene, especially in April before it gets too hot.

The gardens are very nice - peaceful grounds, wonderful sculptures throughout. Shuttles take you to the three main areas, which is helpful for tired folks. The boat ride thru the backwaters was a very interesting ride thru history and we saw plenty of alligators. Bring your bug spray! We did and we were glad - it's the swamps, afterall.

We are going back. Spent 3 hours. The scents and sights were incredible. We are going back for more. We took our time and just did the sculpture garden and low country. Nice place to relax.

We enjoyed this garden very much from the many, many sculptures we saw to the zoo which was quite impressive as well. We were there during the Lego exhibit which was also quite impressive. We have been to Myrtle Beach many times but never knew this was there. We had a great day and enjoyed it very much.

It has been some 18 years since we last visited Brookgreen Gardens. Rather than repeat what others have said I would like to focus on the spectacular job Brookgreen is doing in cultivating new visitors - specifically children. Children, of course, usually like flowers but what else might catch their interest? The gardens boast a wide variety of sculptures -... More

The sculpture Garden is amazing. Spend a few moments in the exhibit where tour tickets are sold, and the floor has an aerial map of this fabulous area. The Boat tour gives you great information about plants, animals, area history, and rice growing in the area. The Trekker tour is bumpy, bul worth it. You see remnants from plantation days,... More
