One of the anchor's of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, the Gay Dolphin has delighted generations of customers since 1946. The most unique gift shop on the Grand Strand, it has twenty-six thousand square feet of fun spread over seven levels. Located directly on the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 9th Avenue North, just south of Plyler Park. The Gay Dolphin is now wheelchair accessible! An elevator lift was installed in March/April of 2015, which allows wheelchair access to 85% - 90% of the store.

I heard a lot of people say good things about it so I was excited to go there! An extreme let down! It was very unorganized and the things for sale looked like a thrift store! Mainly junk

This place is really cool with wall to wall things to buy! The only thing I didn't like was that some of it was really un organized and it almost looked like a junk store - not very inviting. Prices are decent for a gift...More

Fun place with tons of stuff for gifts, decorating, souvenirs and a shark tooth cove which is like a museum where you can have jewelry made from beach-finds! Definitely a must pace to visit. Been in Myrtle Beach since the 40's.

The gay dolphin has a parking lot that is behind the ripley haunted attraction. During the summer there is an all day fee, but during the winter months it is free. Yes, they have a parking lot.
