T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station is quite possibly the country's only FREE living tiger museum. Located inside Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC, it offers families the opportunity to see tigers up close, through glass, absolutely free of charge. For those interested in meeting a tiger or an ape in person, we offer (for a fee)the opportunity to pose with one of the animal ambassadors for a photo. The animals spend only a couple hours per day, in the late afternoon, at T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station and funding generated from our photos and gift shop sales help support various wildlife conservation projects we conduct worldwide through our Rare Species Fund. We are open from mid-March to mid-October and hours of operation can be found by calling our listed telephone number.

"I held a tiger!!!"

I love cats...big and small. All I was expecting was to see the tigers. But when I was able to actually hold a baby tiger...I went crazy. It was amazing.

Our teenagers enjoyed their time spent with the tigers, wolf, baby monkeys so much that we went to the reserve a couple of days later. Sure, it is expensive BUT the amount of time with the baby cubs, wolves, monkeys, chimpanzee and elephant was beyond our expectations. The cheetah was beautiful. To see, feed & hold these animals was fabulous.... More

The preservation station is a photo opportunity with a tiger cub, baby monkey, and wolf pups. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars was the short time you are with the animals. It was a bit rushed. But the animals are tame and affectionate.

The price was too steep for us to experience everything but we enjoyed seeing the two tigers that were on display (free between 5:00-7:00) along with the cubs and small primate that were there for picture taking. They all seemed happy with the attention.

I took my granddaughter there it was a great time. She really enjoyed looking at the tigers especially the baby one's. This was a great experience for both of us would go back again to get our pictures taken with them. I would get there much earlier so I could get into the waiting line.

Our family had a picture taken with a baby Tiger. Our granddaughter was spell bound and speechless during the process. Any family with a young one would have a great time just looking at the Tigers lounging in their space. Very good choice as there are numerous shops for food or ice cream or fudge or others.

It is what you'd expect. Docile animals. The price isn't cheap. They have a manner of ensuring you aren't able to get pictures of any quality other than theirs. The animals are in your hands as long as a hot potato. Perhaps during not high season, you get a few seconds longer

The kids really wanted to go hold some tigers. This was very pricey and unrealistic for our family to physically experience. The time you spend with them is short and the animals are kept in small areas which concerned me. Something made me feel that this was not something I wanted to condone.

My husband and I went to the Preservation station to get photos with the baby tigers. We got to HOLD and cuddle a baby tiger. We fed another one a bottle. We also got to hold a chimpanzee. He was so cute and tried to go through my husband's coat pockets! The staff was wonderful. It's obvious that they love... More

I booked this in advance and I'm glad I did. What a great experience! You can see the love the trainers have for the animals and the passion they have for it. We had a few surprise animals and loved playing with the baby monkey. We decided last minute while we were there to get the photo package and I'm... More
