Good place for a field trip with the kids or in our case, an afternoon date. They have some interesting displays and a planetarium show, although we didn't get there in time for that. Last show is at 3:30.

A Smithsonian Affiliated Museum tucked away in a semi-rural area of York County South Carolina. I was totally blown away with the quality of exhibits and dioramas. A must see for every school child. For teachers or home schooling moms, you will be amazed and delighted with this informative and educational museum - moderately price admission.

Spent time browsing the exhibits and seeing the planetarium presentations. Gift shop sells unique items from local artists. Great place to visit if you have a couple of free hours. New exhibits throughout the year so always something different to see.

This museum has a variety of animals to see. It was overpriced compared to what other cities offer in museums of same likeness. Little kids would enjoy it. We visited as 4 adults because it was highly recommended. We saw everything in about 10 minutes, and that was stretching it.

My grandson was thrilled at all the animals on display. Great static showings throughout the museum, easy to see it all in 2 hours.

This is a very nice museum for children as well as adults. They were having a dinosaur exhibit that was very interesting. There is a room with hands on exhibits. They have exhibits of extinct animals as well as other animals.

Excellent museum! Why? Because this museum is not BORING for children through teens. Activities for younger children to have a tactile connection with the past(hands on) approach. Creative events annually that provide an understanding of art/culture/history with partners such as the Catawba River Art Guild and other artists from Winthrop University!
